PEER REVIEW

Peer Review Process

CBRTS – Journal of Humanities & Social Sciences (CBRTS-JHSS) applies a rigorous double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that the identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, manuscripts may be rejected without external peer review by the Editor-in-Chief if they do not comply with submission guidelines or fall outside the journal’s scope.

2. Scientific Assessment

A Manuscript Editor evaluates the academic quality of the submission. If the quality is insufficient, a rejection decision is issued and reported to the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Reviewer Invitation

Manuscripts of adequate academic quality are sent to one or more independent reviewers. Reviewers are invited based on subject-matter expertise.

4. Reviewers’ Decisions

  • Accept without revision
  • Minor revision
  • Major revision
  • Reject

5. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewers’ reports, the Manuscript Editor may request revisions, accept the manuscript, or reject it. Revised manuscripts are returned to the authors or forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief as appropriate.

Author Revisions

Authors must submit a point-by-point response to reviewers’ comments, clearly indicating all revisions made. Each change should be identified by line number and exact modification. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned for correction and resubmission. Some manuscripts may undergo two or three rounds of peer review.

Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief holds final responsibility for acceptance or rejection of all manuscripts.

Proofs & Publication

After acceptance, authors may not introduce substantive changes that differ from the approved manuscript. Galley proofs are sent to authors for final correction. Errors introduced during production will be corrected in a later issue through an erratum. Errors not corrected at the proof stage remain the responsibility of the authors.
